I love that your writing makes me slow down and focus. I'm finally feeling more energized recently which has been excellent, but i find myself overdoing everything because I'm not used to having this much energy and I just want to do all the things I haven't been able to for so long. I definitely need to spend some energy on my home and really being intentional with my new routines.
I love hearing that! 🧡 I've definitely been in the same boat and trying to find balance. I've been doing better the last week or so, except that now I'm sick lol. I'm trying to take this time to finish some smaller projects that allow me to be more stationary so when I have more physical energy again I can focus it elsewhere. Let me know if you'd like company for house stuff when I'm not germy anymore!
Love your list, and as always, so struck by your generosity and careful curation. I'm especially grateful for the reminder that sending snail mail brings joy to me and the recipient...my whole body leapt at that idea! Thank you for all this goodness. 💐
There are definitely some of these that I need to work harder to make space for. They always feel worth it when I do, but it can be difficult, especially if I've fallen out of the habit or a lot of stress has started to build up - of course they would feel hardest when I need them most😅
Definitely feel that. I’m offering myself grace now for going through so many transitions right now. So once I’m a bit more settled I feel like I’ll have more spoons.
I think I'll invest in a couple smaller ones for the kids before too long. I hadn't even thought of a lap size! And for road trips! That feels like a game-changer.
I love how much of your list mirrors my own internal scattershot of priorities.
(My tattoo also brings me a lot of joy, and I am ever so tempted to start thinking of the next one…being a canvas is such a cool this!)
I could write on every part you’ve shared, but I did want to emphasize how much I appreciated that these weren’t suggestions as much as sharing your experience…how helpful that framing is for my brain. So thank you!
Thank you so much, Wake! I'm definitely not here to tell anyone what to do. I feel like I'm most drawn to the kinds of posts where people share their experiences and options you may not have thought of without trying to tell you what to do, because nothing works for everyone. I try to frame my posts that way as well, and I'm so glad to hear that it feels helpful for you!
I love my CSA subscription, but so it doesn't itself become overwhelming, I recommend scheduling as soon as possible a time block to sort, clean, properly store, chop, parboil, ferment or freeze as necessary. There is nothing more demoralizing than losing that lovely produce because life got in the way and you didn't get to eat it when you thought you would. (Voice of experience here)
I definitely will be planning around the box as much as possible, and I think I'll likely end up freezing and/or pre-cooking a lot of it to make sure it's ready to use throughout the week and not wasted. I'm sure there will be an adjustment period. I appreciate the advice!
Yes! I think our box will include similar tips, which I’m really looking forward to. If it works out, I think there’s a winter box I can subscribe to as well, which would be fantastic.
Thank you Billy! I do feel more connected to everything when I'm able to incorporate more gentle, nourishing types of movement more frequently. I wish someone had framed it so compassionately when I was a kid, but I'm slowly finding my way back to my body as an adult, and I'm grateful.

Yes! Snail mail is really a gift twice over.
So much alignment in your list of rituals with mine. Some I’m excelling at and others, not so much.

Yes! We all have less capacity at times, and you deserve kindness while you move through it. 🧡
The right weighted blanket is a life saver! We also have small lap versions for road trips or focus work.
Thanks for tagging me as always. ✨

Lap size are so much more affordable and really do the trick for travel!

Enjoy! My farmer sends recipes and hints for items in my box and I love the community aspect that comes with making this purchase.
